Bangkok – Paro then transfer to Thimphu. Overnight at a hotel.

Punakha, white water rafting. Overnight at a hotel.

Punakha – Phobjikha. Overnight at a hotel.

Paro departure. Transfer to the international airport for your final departure.
Day 01: Arrive Paro – Thimphu
Your flight to Paro will provide you a wonderful experience with a view of various high snowcapped mountains of Bhutan and Mt. Everest on a clear day. Upon arrival at Paro, our representative from Bhutan Travel Adventures will receive you at the Airport. Drive to Thimphu for 1 hour. After checking in at the hotel you could have rest for a while, and later walk around the city to see the life of urban Bhutan or the capital city. Overnight halt stay at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 02: Thimphu sightseeing
After your breakfast drive to the Buddha Point to see the world’s largest statue of Buddha Sykhamuni perched on a glorious hill with overlooking view of Thimphu city. Visit the school of Arts and Crafts which was established to preserve and promote our age old practice. The students here are taught 13 different traditional arts and crafts. Visit the folk Heritage museum, to see the house of living traditions in some of the rural areas or the farm house in olden days.
After lunch you will visit the Jungshi Paper Factory to see how Bhutan handmade papers are made with its different products. And if you want visit the Handicraft emporium for your souvenir shopping. Visit the Memorial stupa which was built in the memory of our beloved 3rd King in1974. Night halt stay
at the same hotel in Thimphu.
Day 03: Thimphu – Punakha (68 km, 2 hours drive)
After breakfast drive to Punakha for 2 hours with short stop at Dochula pass (3100 meters). If the weather is clear, you could have a superb view of the Bhutan’s Himalayas from the pass. Upon arrival in Punakha, check into the hotel first. And have lunch in Punakha town and visit beautiful Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Based on the prophecy of Guru Padmasambava the dzong is situated between two famous rivers, Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River). Punakha was also the capital of Bhutan until 1955. After the Dzong, walk over the longest suspension bridge of Bhutan which is about 150 meters long.
Later in the early evening you will arrive in a farm house for your today’s overnight stay and to see how people live with their subsistence farm in the rural village. You can taste their traditional Butter tea with local homemade snacks, and taste Ara which is a distilled local wine. You will soak in a traditional Hot Stone Bath. And then you will learn how to cook a few Bhutanese typical meals with different recipes and have dinner at the farm house as well. Night halt stay at the farmhouse in Punakha.
Day 04: Punakha, white water rafting (Rapid 2-3)
After your breakfast drive for about half an hour to Samdingkha village to begin your water rafting through the basin of Phochu (Male) River and its fertile valleys taking about 2 ½ hours. And in the evening you can hike to Khamsum Yuelley Stupa from where you can have the superb view of the Mochu Valley with its fertile rice terraces. And then you can get back to your hotel in Punakha and take rest.
Day 05: Punakha – Phobjikha (65 km, 2 hours drive)
Drive to beautiful Phobjikha valley for 2 hours with your lunch stop at Gangtey valley. After your lunch you will start your amazing 1 ½ hours Gangtey Natural Trail hike from Gangtey to Phobjikha valley which is a popular roosting place for the rarest Blacked Necked Cranes in winter. Upon arrival at Phobjikha, visit the Crane Information Centre to see the cranes if your time coincides with the cranes presence from late fall to early spring. Overnight halt stay at the hotel in Phobjikha.
Day 06: Phobjikha – Paro (178 km, 5 hours drive)
Drive back to Paro for 5 hours with your lunch stop en-route or in Paro. After lunch drive to the historical Drugyel Dzong which is a lately rebuilt fortress after its fire incident in 1950’s, yet originally built by Shabdrung in 1649 to commemorate the winning victory over the Tibetans in 1644. Thus Drugyel Dzong means the Bhutanese victorious fortress.
You can stroll around the town in the evening for your last minute souvenirs shopping. Night halt stay at the hotel in Paro.
Day 07: Paro – Taktshang hike
After your breakfast drive till the road end and begin your hike up hill. Walking time will be around 4 hours for a round trip.
Taktsang monastery is perched on the face of a cliff 800 Mts, above the Paro valley. It is a memorable spiritual journey. It was here that the great Tantric master, Guru Padmasambhava flew in from Tibet on the back of a flying tigress to propagate his teachings in Bhutan. If you cannot continue your hike inside the monastery, you can stop at the Cafeteria from where you can have a spectacular view of the Tiger’s Nest. And then continue your hike towards the monastery for another hour. Lunch at the cafeteria and then hike back downhill. And en-route visit Kyichu monastery dating back to the 7th Century. This is one of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan built by Tibetan king Songtshen Gempo to pin down the ogress. Night halt stay at the same hotel in Paro.
Day 08: Paro – Depart Bangkok
Our guide and driver will drop you at the airport for your flight departure. So have a pleasant flight back home.

These rates are applicable per tourist per night halt in Bhutan.
Ans; The Daily Cost for such regular season is USD 255 per person per night only. And then you will get S.D.F USD 65 per night off as you travel through the eastern region’s districts. And we provide minimum very good 3 Star Hotels and above. The cost includes; Government’s Sustainable Development Fee $65 per night per person and taxes, 3 star hotels, 3 meals a day, good guide, private car & driver and entry fees.
2. Do you apply our Bhutan Visa, and what documents are required for the Visa? And what is the Visa fee?
Ans; Certainly, we will apply/issue your Bhutan Visa upon receiving the full payment from you. And we just need your clear passport copy only for the Visa. The Bhutan Visa Fee is US $40 per entry only.
3. Do you book our flight? If so, which cities outside Bhutan we can fly to and from Paro and which is the most convenient as for flying to/from Bhutan?
Ans; We have flights to and from cities like Bangkok, Kathmandu, Delhi, Kolkata, Dhaka, Singapore, Guwahati and Bagdogra. Yet, the most convenient flights is via Bangkok as we have several flights in a day.
4. What is the procedure for this trek/trip booking?
Ans; For the peak seasons, you will have book this trek at least two months ahead with your confirmed flight booking. And you must deposit US $300 an Advance Payment with full airfare for your flight to/from Paro, Bhutan only.
