Jigme Tshering
Director
Jigme has been meaningfully involved with the Tourism Industry for more than 23 years. About 17 years ago, Jigme began to research and plan the operation of his own company, but long before that, he worked as a highly-regarded tour guide, tour leader, and manager for other prominent tour companies in Bhutan.
Jigme has explored every nook and cranny of field research and cultural tours, and he has done all the treks in Bhutan with groups of all nationalities. He has completed the Snowman Trek four times with his guests, most recently in 2019. Jigme is still happy to go as a guide whenever he gets the time to share the best of Bhutan with his guests. He makes sure to provide them with the best value because he believes that the guests always come first. Jigme’s motto is that each person should be treated “as a guest not as a tourist.”
Ugyen Choden
Tour Operation Manager
After her studies, Ugyen received comprehensive training from several international Hospitality industries, and she worked with five-star hotels and resorts before joining the Bhutan Travel Adventures’ management team to offer more guest services.
She is a soft spoken and attentive lady who makes sure that all the tour reservations of their guests are done without a glitch. Ugyen always tries to obtain the best hotel reservations and quickest confirmation of Druk Air flight seats for the guests of Bhutan Travel Adventures.
Yeshi Dhendup
Cultural & Trekking Guide
Yeshi Dhendup has been touring and trekking in Bhutan with our guests for more than 7 years. He has done all the treks, from low to high-altitude treks in Bhutan. Yeshi began his career as a cultural guide. He’s a hardworking guy who speaks English very well and possesses good knowledge of our Bhutanese history and culture. Yeshi also did a birding course in 2025, and now he’s looking forward to the Snowman Trek in 2026.
Phurba Namgyel
Senior Cultural Guide
He has been leading tours and trekking groups with us for 13 years as our senior and best guide. There is hardly any place in Bhutan where Phurba has not led a group of people from many different countries. His communication is amazing, he has a very good knowledge of our country’s history and customs, and he has a lot of information to share. Phurba’s experience as both a guide and a person will make your trip unforgettable.
Yeshi Tshering
Senior Cultural & Trekking Guide
Yeshi Tshering had been trekking in Bhutan before his mainstream guiding profession. That’s why he has done the toughest Snowman Trek 7 times. And he has been guiding for more than a decade, leading both cultural and trekking groups. Yeshi has also been with our company for nearly 7 years. His communication skills and knowledge of our country are also no less than those of any great guides of Bhutan. Yet he enjoys trekking more than being on tours.
Namagy Dorji
Senior driver & Transport Manager
Namgay Dorji has been working with the company for more than thirteen years, and he has been driving for more than 15 years, taking our guests all over Bhutan countless times.
After seven years of working with the company, Namagy was promoted to the position of Transport Manager. He now makes sure that all transports/cars that he provides for our guests are comfortable, fairly new, clean and driven by good drivers. He still loves to do the driving himself, which he when he gets the time.
