Day 01: Bangkok – Paro – Thimphu
The Druk Air flight into Paro is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of our country. In clear weather, magnificent views of the world’s highest peaks, give way to the lush green Paro valley as you land. Upon arrival at Paro, our representative from Bhutan Travel Adventures will receive you at the Airport. And then drive to Thimphu for 1 hour. After checking in at the hotel you can rest for a while.
After lunch visit the school of Arts and Crafts which was established to preserve and promote our 13 age old arts and crafts. Visit the folk Heritage museum, to see the replica of a traditional farm house in some of the rural areas or the farm house in olden days. And then visit the Takin Zoo to see our national animal. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 02: Thimphu sightseeing
After breakfast drive for half an hour (12 km) towards north of Thimphu valley and then you will have to hike for almost 2 hours to and fro.
Tango Goemba (monastery): Lama Gyalwa Lhanampa founded the monastery in the 12th century. The present building was built in the 15th century by the Divine Mad Man “Drukpa Kuenly”. In 1616 Shabdrung Nawang Namgyel visited Tango Goemba and meditated in a cave nearby. Today Tango is the residence of an important young Trulku (reincarnate lama) who is recognized as the 17th reincarnation of highly respected forth Desi, Gyalse Tenzin Rabgye, whose previous reincarnation passed away in 1830. Also at present the monastery serves as the prestigious Buddhist University for the monks of our state religion. You may also see some birds around this vicinity.
After your lunch drive to the Buddha Point to see one of the largest Buddha statues in the world with the panoramic view of the whole Thimphu city. And later on the way back, visit our 3rd King’s Memorial Stupa. Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 03: Thimphu – Punakha
After breakfast, Drive to Punakha for 2 ½ hours with short stop at Dochula pass. If the weather is clear, you could have a superb view of the Bhutan’s Himalayas. Upon your arrival in Punakha, you will be taken to your hotel for checking in. Have lunch in Punakha town and visit beautiful Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Based on the prophecy of Guru Padmasambava the dzong is situated between two famous rivers, Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River).
In the evening hike for an hour to Chime Lhakhang, this temple was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, who is known as Divine Mad Man. He subdued the demons with his “Magical Thunder bolt”. The Temple is also known as “The Temple of Fertility”. It’s believed that the childless women can be conceived after they are blessed from the temple. Night halt stay at the hotel in Punakha.
Day 04: Punakha – Paro sightseeing
And then drive to Paro for 4 hours and have lunch in the town.
Later visit Kyichu monastery dating back to the 7th Century. This is one of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan built by Tibetan king Songtshen Gempo to pin down the ogress. Afterwards drive and visit the historical Drugyel Dzong which is a ruin fortress now, built by Shabdrung in 1649 to commemorate the winning victory over the Tibetans in 1644. Thus Drugyel Dzong means the Bhutanese victorious fortress. Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.
Day 05: Paro Tiger’s Nest hike
After your breakfast drive till the road end and begin your hike up hill. Walking time will be around 4 hours for a round trip. Taktsang monastery is perched on the face of a cliff 800 Mts, above the Paro valley. It is a memorable spiritual journey. It was here that the great Tantric master, Guru Padmasambhava flew in from Tibet on the back of a flying tigress to propagate his teachings in Bhutan. Lunch at the cafeteria or you will be served catering from a restaurant. Overnight halt stay at the hotel in Paro.
Day 06: Paro – Bagdogra – Sikkim
Our guide and driver will drop you at the airport and bid you good bye for your flight departure to Bagdogra. Our representative from Sikkim will pick you up at the Bagdogra airport and then drive to Sikkim for about 3 hours. Have a rest in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 07: Gangtok Sightseeing – Peling
Start your sightseeing early for visiting the Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicrafts, Enchey Monastery and view Points. Drive to Peling for 5.5 hours for your overnight stay. Evening at leisure in your hotel in Peling.
Day 08: Peling Sightseeing – Gangtok
Start bit early sightseeing in Peling visiting Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim, Rabdentse the second palace of Sikkim which lies in ruins, Kechipalri Lake or wish fulfilling lake which is located at the midst of verdant forest and then transfer back to Gangtok for 5.5 hours, Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 09: Gangtok (Sikkim) – Darjeeling
After breakfast transfer to Darjeeling (110 kms, 5 hrs drive). En route visit a tea garden to witness the manufacturing process of Darjeeling tea and Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center. Later sightseeing tour of Darjeeling includes, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Panda Breeding Center and an evening walk around the town and The Mall. O/N Hotel
Day 10: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill (11 km) to view the sunrise over Mt. Kunchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. En route visit Yigacholing Ghoom Monastery and afternoon take a joy ride on Toy Train (Darjeeling Himalayan Railway) from Darjeeling to Ghoom and return to hotel and an evening at leisure. O/N Hotel
Day 11: Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Bangkok/Delhi
After an early breakfast drive to Bagdogra for Delhi departure, our representative from India counterpart will bid you farewell.
Goodbye and have a pleasant flight back home!

Ans; The Daily Cost for such regular season is USD 210 per person per night only. And we provide minimum very good 3 Star Hotels and above. The cost includes; Government’s Sustainable Development Fee $65 per night per person and taxes, 3 star hotels, 3 meals a day, good guide, private car & driver and entry fees.
2. Do you apply our Bhutan Visa, and what documents are required for the Visa? And what is the Visa fee?
Ans; Certainly, we will apply/issue your Bhutan Visa upon receiving the full payment from you. And we just need your clear passport copy only for the Visa. The Bhutan Visa Fee is US $40 per entry only.
3. Do you book our flight? If so, which cities outside Bhutan we can fly to and from Paro and which is the most convenient as for flying to/from Bhutan?
Ans; We have flights to and from cities like Bangkok, Kathmandu, Delhi, Kolkata, Dhaka, Singapore, Guwahati and Bagdogra. Yet, the most convenient flights is via Bangkok as we have several flights in a day.
4. What is the procedure for this trek/trip booking?
Ans; You will have book this trek at least two months ahead with your confirmed flight booking. And then must deposit US $400 an Advance Payment with full airfare for your flight to/from Paro, Bhutan only.
